This is a bundle containing all three volumes of Cuyler Keating's cemetery series, Blessed Are the Dead.

These are handmade books, made in Vermont, highlighting gravestone art and epitaphs taken from burial grounds all over New England and New York. Each book is around 50-pages long containing both writing on cemeteries and drawings of various gravestones. The books are printed in 80lb French aper cover stock with 65lb French paper interiors.

Cuyler Keating is a Vermont artist and the owner and operator of Punched Tin Press, a small business dedicated to bookmaking, printmaking, and creating other art objects inspired by antiques and antiquity. Cuyler's work is heavily inspired by the bizarre, macabre, and gothic, particularly the "memento mori" traditions of Colonial America, Medieval Europe, and Victorian London.
